What's a widget? You can think of a widget as a "Windows Gadget". Many of them are links to internet sites, such as the first one here, Widgetbox. Others are tools or application launchers. There are dozens of categories, and thousands of widgets available online. Google and Yahoo have plenty for you to start with and then there are the widget websites to overwhelm you.
